Similarly to Tortuguero, the most practical way to get to know Corcovado is by booking an all inclusive package, which includes transportation, lodging, meals and the most interesting tours in the area.
There is a choice of transportation to Corcovado. The easiest way is a direct flight from San José's Tobías Bolaños Airport to Palmar Sur or Drake Bay local Airports, where you will be met and taken to the hotel. Otherwise, you can also drive and take the boat at Sierpe dock to the Drake Bay hotels. Cars and buses can be parked securely at Sierpe.
Rates vary according to the number of nights and hotel cathegories. A 2-night stay is the minimum, but the 3- nights package will allow you to enjoy the experience the most. For the 3-night package, the rate in a Tent Camp lodge including one tour is $365 per person, Superior lodges' rates are between $485 and $500 per person, including the snorkeling tour to Caño Island and a tour in the National Park , and Deluxe hotels packages rates starts at $699, including also both tours and countless amenities.
